A post-valentine treat : Songs about love and heartbreak
I want to treat Pinkoy readers with a little something, like a post-valentine gift of sorts - A playlist, actually two playlists of some of my favorite love songs straight from my personal audio library.
(I need to keep a backup of these files somehow since a lot of these aren't being played anymore, especially that Prince song "When 2 R N Love" which I think wasn't really actually played during its time. Listen to it and you'll know why).
Warning though for those who are into standard love songs: Well, they're not (most of them anyway)...but still, I invite you to listen to them.

Zero Point Energy and Amega
It has been so long since I last posted here in Pinkoy. For quite sometime, a lot of things had happened that I would say, improved the quality of my life. The many years of neglecting my own personal happiness due to forced responsibility have finally reached closure. Now all I can say is, I am free.

Humanity and Technology
Finally! Michael Jackson will be laid to rest. Though I must admit I was quite affected by his demise (the evidence being the two posts I did on MJ). Hey, I'm a child of the 80s, so that's that I guess.
Now it's back to the same ol' nose-bleeding task of posting (or reposting lol) some really good stuff here in Pinkoy.

Madonna pays tribute to MJ
Still on Michael Jackson (sorry can't help it), I'm reposting this bit of news, including the video.
Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson at the opening night Saturday (July 4th) of her Sticky & Sweet (Part II) concert tour at London's O2 Arena.

"My Favourite Things" redux
A couple of days ago a friend of mine emailed (or forwarded) me a very interesting piece about the reunion of the Von Trapp Family. If you know what I'm talking about, you're definitely around my age (lol). I'm talking about that timeless film classic "The Sound of Music." The original cast had a reunion 40 years after the film was made.
For those who haven't seen the before-and-now photos yet, I'm posting it here in Pinkoy.

(Hey...where is Christopher Plummer in that reunion photo?)

Star Trek Reboot...sans the wrinkles
Captain Kirk? Hot! Spock? Hotter than ever! Now I grew up watching the original Star Trek series reruns but never really saw these characters as hot or whatever. It was the 70s and as a child fascinated with science fiction, I usually sat through Star Trek totally amazed as it introduced me to things like warp speed, phaser guns, flip top comm gadgets and teleportation ("Beam me up, Scotty"... love that everytime) while getting a kick out of William Shatner's morse code-like intonation and cheezy acting (which I loved to imitate by the way).

I thank the academy for this award....
Another award for Pinkoy! Seriously, besides the academy (hehe), I really wanna thank the brutally straightforward blog "Silip..." and its brilliant author Violet for including Pinkoy in her list of blogs deserving of the Honest Scrap Award. I am most honored. Now with this kind of award having been confered, I wonder, does this mean Pin(k)oy has truly evolved from an erstwhile confusion of a blog to something that actually stirs its readers' imagination and occasionally their funny bones? Ahh...the pressure of writing even more interesting posts!

Sleepless sci-fi nights and this seriously cool video streaming site
I bet Pinkoy readers have already gotten used to my usual intro...I have been busy. Busy, busy, busy... at work, loads of work and, yes (with a mind's image of someone throwing up in his mouth while reading this) MORE WORK!
But since it's just a few days til that long Christmas vacation comes (thank God for Prez. Glorybee's pronouncement), I'm gonna give this site a break from my usual "busy as hell" mantra (oops, here I go again!) and give you something that might be of interest to some of you geeks out there.

Fallen - a new TV series (warning...there are spoilers here)
While looking around this mini-mall known to openly sell pirated DVDs, I happened to buy a copy of season one of this new television series called "Fallen." Fascinated by subjects on biblical myths (which some believe are not myths at all), the paranormal and basically anything unexplainable and bizarre, I watched the series and, since it only had around four episodes, finished the disc.
